Old Navy to Open on Thanksgiving, But Wants to Give You $1 Million for Black Friday!

Popular clothing retailer Old Navy has announced their schedule for Black Friday weekend. The doors will open on Thanksgiving Day from 9am to 4pm, and then reopen at 7pm opening time on Thanksgiving night.

“Old Navy stores across the country are opening their doors for an unprecedented 29 hours of Black Friday shopping,” said Steve Stickel, Old Navy Head of Stores. “We want shoppers to be able to take advantage of our amazing Black Friday deals for longer than ever.”

That’s sure to add more fuel to the fire for consumers already outraged by Black Friday retailers’ incursion upon some of Americans’ most sacred ground,  but it comes alongside the revelation that they are also planning to give $1 million dollars to one lucky shopper.

The first 500 Black Friday shoppers in line at every Old Navy store in North America will receive an entry into the “Overnight Millionaire” sweepstakes. One winner, to be selected at random on Black Friday evening, will receive a $1 million prize.

“This year, we’re adding to the anticipation and excitement around Black Friday shopping with a sweepstakes that could change an Old Navy’s shopper’s life overnight,” said Stefan Larsson, Old Navy Global President. “The ‘Overnight Millionaire’ promotion, coupled with our best sale of the year, is a uniquely Old Navy way to surprise our fans as they begin the holiday shopping season.”
