Thanksgiving is tomorrow and you know what that means...dessert! In today's post, I will be reviewing the Rubbermaid Brilliance Glass storage containers and posting a recipe that my family and I grew up with, Flan. But let's talk about how great these glass containers are!
It's been a while since I've done a DIY but I have all the time in the world to do it now since life consists of working from home and staying from home. I got bored with some of the wall decor I had in my room so I decided to use some of the things that I had around the house and created new wall decor without spending a single dime. Can you get more frugal than that? How cute did these turn out? I used my scrapbook paper. I cut them to size to fit in the frames. I also spray painted the frames. This was super easy and quick. Took me a total of 30 minutes.
Holidays are around the corner and our budget has gotten tighter. So I decided that my partner and I had to come up with some fun and cheap ways to entertain our kids.
Paint/Draw together:
This is something I found that the kids love to do. We tend to do this and talk about our feelings. Mostly because I am in school for Art Therapy and they actually enjoy it! Painting is something they love to do and they are really good at it!
Movie Night:
We love to watch movies with the kids that have messages. We usually have a discussion about the movie afterward and ask them what have they learned or taken from the film to apply to their life.
Nintendo Switch:
Who doesn't love video games? We have some great family games that we just love. We tend to break out into teams but sometimes it's parents against kids LOL. It's fun and it lasts for hours!
Travel:
We will occasionally take the kids into the city and just show them landmarks and sometimes we just walk around and take in the city. That is something we haven't done lately due to COVID however we do plan on going for some drives while staying in the car.

I've been on a hiatus for quite some time and then COVID happened. So many new things have happened but of course, I am private so that's something I don't want to share. Just know I will be coming back and it will be better than ever! Just give me a couple of months so I can get things in order and pass my fall semester classes. :-)

I loved how their journals are set up. In front of the journals, you'll find a table where you can write the page number and the topic of that entry. You can see it pictured above. The great thing about these journals is that you can use fountain pens and there won't be any issues. Head over to their site and check out all of their collections. You will not be disappointed.
Back to the therapy talk. Art therapy is a specialized area of mental health that uses art materials and the creative process to explore emotions, reduce anxiety, increase self-esteem, and resolve other psychological conflicts. I'm going to school to get my degree in psychology and art therapy. Expressive writing has been very helpful to me. I've released two poetry books in which I talk about abuse, love, and everything in between. After receiving these products from Letts of London, I've thought about filling these journals with all of my poetry to leave for my children to read.
Start writing and if you choose to, share it. If not then keep a log just for you. Head over to their website (Letts of London) and start your journaling.
