My July Ipsy Glam Bag Review!July 20, 2015
I was super excited to receive my July Ipsy Glam Bag once I found out what I was receiving. So in this month's bag I received a Jersey Shore Cosmetics Mongongo Vanilla Coconut Cream Lip Conditioner, a Teeez Cosmetics Read My Lips Lipstick, Crown Brush Professional Tweezers, OFRA Cosmetics Bliss Eyeshadow, and the Eva NYC Freshen Up Dry Shampoo. Out of all of the items I received, one left me unimpressed. Check out my reviews for all of the items in my July bag below!
The first product I tried was the Teeez Cosmetics Read My Lips Lipstick. The color is called 'Killing Me Softly'. I wasn't impressed with it once I opened it but the minute I put it on, I really liked it. It went on smooth and is highly pigmented with a matte finish. As you can see from the picture above, it really looked good on my skin tone. I could wear this to work or for a night out on the town. This retails for $22.00 and can be purchased over at teeezcosmetics.com.
The second product I was not impressed with at all and it was the one I most anticipated. I received the black Crown Brush Professional Tweezers weren't just my favorite. They didn't pull anything. I'm not sure if it's because I received a defective one or because they simply do not work well. My Sally Hansen tweezers did a better job than these. These are stainless steel and the tip is aligned at a 45% angle. This retails for $6.99 and can be purchased at crownbrush.us. Be sure to save 30% by using promo code ipsytwzr30.
The third product was the Jersey Shore Cosmetics Mongongo Vanilla Coconut Cream Lip Conditioner. I have been searching for a chap-stick that didn't leave my lips feeling funny or feeling like I need to put on more. My search has finally come to an end. I loved the way it went on and loved the way it felt. I didn't need to keep reapplying more. It lasts really long. It's 100% natural and USDA certified organic and it's 100% cruelty free which is a plus. This conditioner will leave your lips silky-smooth, luscious and hydrated! Mongongo oil has hydrating, regenerating and restructuring properties and offers a unique protection from UV and environmental pollutants in skin applications. Mongongo oil is rich in calcium, magnesium, zinc, cooper and anti-oxidants. This retails for $10.00 and can be purchased over at jerseyshoresun.com and be sure to save 50% off by using promo code ipsy50.
The fourth product was the OFRA Cosmetics Bliss Eyeshadow, which I absolutely loved! I love neutral colors so there was no question that I was going to love this one. It went on easy and was long lasting. You can use this as an eyeshadow or as a highlighting powder on your cheek bones, brow bones or on the bridge of your nose. Bliss can easily fit in any type of magnetic makeup palette and can also be used in loose form. As you can see from the picture above, the eyeshadow looks great! This is hypoallergenic which is a plus and it means my daughter can use it and it is animal cruelty free which is also a plus. This specific one retails for $10.00 and can be purchased at ofracosmetics.com. The signature set sells for $29.95 and the compact retails for $15.00. Last but not least was the Eva NYC Freshen Up Dry Shampoo. I have tried many dry shampoos since they have come out. They all do the same thing. The one thing that this one does not do that the others do is leave white residue. Which I absolutely loved! It cleans hair without water, adds instant volume, it leaves no white residue, removes odor and oil, and is aluminum free. This retails for $24.00 and is for of course the full size can and can be purchased at eva-nyc.com. Be sure to use promo code IPSYJULY65 to save 65% off of any purchase.
