The Black Friday 2015 battle begins! Target will be matching rivals online prices!

by - October 02, 2015

Like I've stated before, Black Friday coverage started yesterday! We are in the second day on October and everyone is starting to go crazy and be impatient. The ads should start rolling out soon so stay tuned.

Target is making a bold move this year and they really want your money! Target's website starts matching prices from its main online rivals today. Who is their rival you ask? Walmart!

Target said it'll match prices from dozens of competitors, including major names like Amazon, Best Buy and Costco, with the exception of price matching on Black Friday according to Fortune. Until now, the chain's price match policy was limited to brick-and-mortar stores. Walmart began online price matching last year. The timing is hardly coincidental and this new move by Target is permanent!

All retailers are gearing up for a typically intense holiday shopping season. Amazon and Walmart already ignited a minor price war this year, with both running Black Friday-ish promotions over the summer. Talk about Christmas in July.

Black Friday is the start of the Christmas shopping season. Target's move is a good indicator that you won't need to wait until Black Friday itself to find good sales. But being a seasonable experienced Black Friday shopper, you'll find better prices on Black Friday or the day before!
