From movie night to game day, Bacon and Maple items are the perfect comfort foods to get you through the winter months. Some classic and some quirky, try them one at time, or combine them for a fantastic flavor combination. More than 50 products in both the fresh and non-perishable departments will be available. GIANT Food Stores sent over a few items for me to review and a gift card to give away.

I did this giveaway a little differently this time around. I wanted co-workers of mine who are also readers of my blog and GIANT Food Stores shoppers to guess which meal I was going to make with the ingredients that I had pictured. I made it into a little game. The picture I have shown below is the one I showed them. I had a lot of guesses but only one got it correct, Bethany won the $25 GIANT Food Stores gift card! I made mini BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Cups! It was fast, easy, and fun to make! And for dessert I made the Yellow cake with the Maple & Bacon Frosting!

What you'll need:
  • 2 Pillsbury Biscuit Cans
  • GIANT Brand Bacon Moonshine BBQ Sauce
  • GIANT Brand Bacon Seasoning Salt
  • 1 lb. Ground Beef
  • 4 Slices of Kraft Cheese
  • Cupcake pan
Directions:
  1. Season the ground beef before browning.
  2. Brown the beef
  3. Drain the grease.
  4. Add 1/4 C of the GIANT Brand Bacon Moonshine BBQ Sauce and mix.
  5. Take apart the biscuits and press into cupcake pan
  6. Spoon beef into biscuits
  7. Bake at 350° for 18-20 minutes
  8. Divide 1 slice of cheese into 4 squares, repeat for the other three slices.
  9. Place cheese on top and let bake for another minute.

As I mentioned above, I made the cake that was sent and it was good. I added the bacon on the top but there was already bacon in the frosting. One thing I'd change would be not to have the bacon in with the frosting but overall it was good. As you can see, there is a piece missing from the cake and that is because my daughter couldn't wait to taste it. She also added maple syrup to hers. Hurry and head over to GIANT Food Stores to try their many Bacon & Maple inspired products!
