Let's talk Therapy and Journaling!

Society doesn't really talk about mental health or the struggles that come along with it. So I decided why not talk about it. I am very transparent when talking about my own struggles. I have good days and I have bad days. Writing helps me to cope as I find it to be therapeutic for me. I write my feelings down and what I've done for that day or week or month. Or I will write my poetry in there. I am very particular about the kinds of journals I use for my writing so when I saw Letts of London's collection of journals, I quickly wanted them.

I loved how their journals are set up. In front of the journals, you'll find a table where you can write the page number and the topic of that entry. You can see it pictured above. The great thing about these journals is that you can use fountain pens and there won't be any issues. Head over to their site and check out all of their collections. You will not be disappointed.

Back to the therapy talk. Art therapy is a specialized area of mental health that uses art materials and the creative process to explore emotions, reduce anxiety, increase self-esteem, and resolve other psychological conflicts. I'm going to school to get my degree in psychology and art therapy. Expressive writing has been very helpful to me. I've released two poetry books in which I talk about abuse, love, and everything in between. After receiving these products from Letts of London, I've thought about filling these journals with all of my poetry to leave for my children to read.

Start writing and if you choose to, share it. If not then keep a log just for you. Head over to their website (Letts of London) and start your journaling.
