Fashion On a Budget!

On Saturday, my childhood friend married her best friend. I had a few months to figure out what I was going to wear but of course, I did what I always do. I waited until the very last minute to get an outfit. The sale gods were definitely on my side because I found some amazing things! First, let's start with my face. I used Urban Decay Naked foundation in Medium, Mellow blush in peach, Urban Decay eyeshadow, Ofra eyeliner in Green Go, Belle Pierre lipliner in nude, Buxom lipstick in Sinful Cinnamon, Benefit brow zings shape kit, Smashbox full exposure mascara, finishing off with Tarte smooth operator Amazonian clay setting powder.

The clothing part was a bit frustrating for me. You see I'm a plus size girl who has curves. I love my body, my husband loves my body so I'm happy with it. However, it seems that the stores make it hard for us big girls to wear nice clothes. I found this cute Taupe Crochet-Inset Romper at Charlotte Russe. It was priced at $30.49 but it was on sale for $15.00. The accessories I purchased at Charlotte Russe were priced at 2 for $10 so that was a win!

I wore it a bit differently than in the picture. I tied the tassels. I have a bigger chest than the model pictured above. I preferred to tie the tassel since I have a rather large chest. The first thing that drew me to this piece was the color. It's a Spring/Summer color even though it is a long sleeve. The fabric is a thin linen material which is breathable and flowy.

Disregard the mirror. It's my daughter's and she did her hair prior to the picture above. She has curly hair so she puts coconut oil and argan oil in her hair and then diffuses it in front of this mirror. That routine is for another blog post :-)

I wore stockings under this romper because I wanted smoother legs. And because I feel comfortable wearing stockings when showing that much leg.

The shoes I wore were the ones I purchased at Target. They are gorgeous and comfortable and they were originally priced at $37.99 but marked down to $26.58! They are brand Dolce Vita made exclusively for Target.

This entire look came in at $51.58. That's it. It does not cost a lot to look good, especially when you are a slightly bigger woman. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, so dress up, feel good, and show it off without breaking the bank!
